Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today appealed to employees of National Rural Health Mission to call off their protest over salary and assured them that he would take up the matter with Union Health Minister.
In a meeting with the core committee of NRHM Employees Union here, Badal said he will personally request to Union Minister to consider the issue on priority basis.

Badal said state will proportionately enhance their salaries in accordance with Centre.
The NRHM employees have been demanding regularisation of their services and hike in wages.
Badal said the government has always been in favour of employees and their rights have been protected in all circumstances.
He informed the members of core committee that he was getting detail from health department and a comprehensive charter will be submitted to Union Health Minister J P Nadda to take necessary steps in this regard.
