Sukhbir must own up failure of investigative agencies: Channi

Citing the handover of investigation in the case of an attack on RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja to the CBI, Congress Legislature Party chief Charanjit Singh Channi today raised questions about the efficiency of the state's probe agencies.
He said government's move shows the 'utter failure' of the agencies and attacked Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal who is also in-charge of the Home Ministry.
"This is the third major case in Punjab in which the state investigative agencies have failed to nab the culprits," Channi said.
He alleged that there is politicisation of police under the Akali Dal-BJP regime which had resulted in lack of professionalism.
