Mahajan, who is representing Indore Lok Sabha seat for the eighth time, landed at the airport where she was received by a string of party leaders.
She then visited Rajwada area and garlanded the bust of Ahilyabai Holkar, the 18th Century Holkar queen of the Maratha-ruled Malwa kingdom.
A large number of BJP activists burst firecrackers to welcome the leader, who returned to Indore for the first time after becoming the Speaker.
Mahajan will be felicitated by 200 various organisations on June 18, a media circular issued by multiple organisers said.
