Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs:
Western part of the axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to run close to the foothills of the Himalayas. Its eastern part now passes through Gorakhpur, Patna, Jamshedpur, Balasore and thence southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal.
A cyclonic circulation extending between 1.5 and 3.1 kms a. S. L lies over Kutch and adjoining south Pakistan. The cyclonic circulation over south Rajasthan and neighbourhood has become less marked.
The southwest Monsoon has been active over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Chhattisgarh. It has been subdued over Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Interior Karnataka and Kerala.
