The two trains are Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam AC Express (Weekly) and Nanded-Aurangabad Express (Weekly). He inaugurated the Nanded-Aurangabad Express via remote video link. The two trains were announced in the Railway Budget 2014.
Union Labour Minister (independent charge) and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana ministers Naini Narasimha Reddy and T Padmarao were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhu said the Railway Ministry would consider the demand for starting a train between the temple towns of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and Shirdi in Maharashtra.
The demand for addressing the concerns of Marathwada region and to include the region in Central Railway would be considered.
Dattatreya sought developing the Secunderabad railway station to world class standards, implementation of phase-II of Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) among others.
