Sushma's sister has assets worth Rs 33.06 crore

Haryana assembly poll's BJP candidate Vandana Sharma, sister of union minister Sushma Swaraj, has declared total assets to the tune of Rs 33.06 crore in her affidavit filed along with nomination papers.
49-year-old political greenhorn Vandana, contesting from Safidon constituency, holds a Ph.D in Political Science from Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut.
The academician has declared her movable and immovable assets worth Rs 31.41 crore and Rs 1.65 crore respectively, including that of her doctor-husband and two children.
She owns a Maruti Swift car worth Rs 7.43 lakh and her husband drives Honda and Koleos cars worth Rs five lakh and Rs 9.33 lakh respectively.
As per her affidavit, she has cash in hand amounting to Rs 9.65 lakh while her husband has cash of Rs 1.90 lakh.
Among her movable assets, she has declared jewellery worth Rs 14.89 lakh.
She has shown bank deposits including FDRs of around Rs 26 lakh.
Among her immovable assets, the BJP candidate has declared a residential accommodation with its current value of Rs 90 lakh while her husband has declared a hospital at Narwana in Jind worth Rs 75 lakh.
Vandana was a professor of S D College for Girls in Narwana. Born in Amabla in 1965, she was married to Dr Manmohan Sharma, a physician, who runs a private clinic in Narwana.
Younger than Sushma Swaraj, Vandana had sought voluntary retirement in 2010 after teaching for 25 years and has since then been a housewife. She has no political experience and was not active in college politics.
