Swaraj said she has been encouraging usages of the national language after taking charge of the External Affairs Ministry.
"Usage of Hindi should be encouraged in an all-round holistic manner," she said after distributing prizes to winners of the competitions organised as part of Hindi Diwas celebrations from 2-16 September 2016 at the Ministry.
Under the initiative, the officers and staff at MEA participated in a series of activities undertaken to promote usage of Hindi.
Swaraj presented certificates of appreciation to winning participants of various activities held under this initiative.
The prize distribution ceremony was followed by a brief cultural programme.
