Suspected Maoists tonight opened fire at some distance from CRPF camp in Bihar's Aurangabad district, police said.
Firing was heard at some distance from CRPF camp at Bhaluwari village under Dihbra police station of naxal-hit Aurangabad district, about 200 km from the state capital, Sub Divisional Police Officer Ajay Narayan Yadav told PTI.
Bhaluwari village from where report of firing came is surrounded by jungle and is about 50 km from Aurangabad. Palamu district of Jharkhand is on the other side of the village.
Aurangabad district had recently witnessed an attack by armed Maoists on camp of Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) force located at Jajapur under Goh police station in which six persons including three SAP jawans, two private guards and a driver of a bus carrying policemen were killed.
The Maoists had looted 30 weapons and a large cache of ammunition in the attack in mid-July, police said.
