Suspected NDFB(S) terrorist injured in encounter

A suspected NDFB(S) terrorist was injured today in an encounter with security forces near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
Sonitpur district Superintendent of Police Sanjukta Parasar said the incident took place this afternoon at Daimalo under Gohpur police station.
After seeing the security team, who reached the spot after receiving inputs, the terrorists started firing at them, she said.
When security forces retaliated, one cadre was injured but four others managed to escape, she added.
The injured has been identified as M Basumatary and is being treated at hospital now.
Police recovered a motorcycle without any number plate from the spot.
Security forces are conducting search operations in the bordering area to nab the others.
