Sooraj told media personnel that he had suo motu decided to undergo the lie detector test.
"Some forces are deliberately trying to tarnish my reputation. Through the test, my innocence will be proved," said Sooraj, former Land Revenue commissioner, who was questioned by the CBI yesterday in connection with the Kalamassery land grab case.
Sooraj said he would submit an application before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate court on Monday, stating his willingness to undergo the test.
The IAS officer, who was also the PWD Secretary, had been suspended in November last year for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Chandy's former gunman Salim Raj and nine others had been arrested by the CBI on June 3 in connection with two land grabbing cases involving properties worth more than Rs 425 crore located in Kadakampally in Thiruvananthapuram and Kalamassery here.
