Suspense continues over the return of Rahul Gandhi with party sources saying he may come back as early as tomorrow but officially the party maintained ambiguity.
While Congress spokesperson Ajay Maken said that he has "no idea" about date of Rahul's arrival, a party functionary speaking on condition of anonymity said the Congress Vice President will indeed be back on Wednesday.
Sources also said that plans were underway to organize an interaction of Rahul Gandhi with a delegation of farmers on April 17 two days before he will address the Kisan-Khet Mazdoor rally of the party on April 19 here.
"No idea. When we come to know anything, we will let you know," Maken told reporters in reply to a volley of questions on the return of Rahul.
Reports had it that the Congress Vice President is expected to return from his sabbatical by Wednesday when his temporary break from political life clocks 55th day.
Congress leaders have already announced that Rahul would be back by April 19 as he would be addressing the farmer's rally at the Ramlila maidan here on that day.
The rally is being held on the eve of the second phase of the Budget session of Parliament. Rahul had skipped the first phase as he went on the sabbatical shortly before it commenced.
