Shares of Suven Life Sciences today rose over 4 per cent after the company reported 56 per cent rise in standalone net profit for the March quarter.
The stock gained 4.18 per cent to end at Rs 189.45 on BSE. Intra-day, it jumped 7.94 per cent to Rs 196.30.
At NSE, shares of the company rose 4.13 per cent to close at Rs 189.65.
In terms of equity volume, 3.14 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 24 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Drug firm Suven Life Sciences today reported 56 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 62.51 crore for the March quarter.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 40.06 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Suven Life Sciences said in a filing to BSE.
Its standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs 213.72 crore for the quarter. The revenue was Rs 180.14 crore in March quarter of 2016-17.
