The company had sold 41,013 units in the same month last year, SMIPL said in a statement.
Domestic sales stood at 46,020 units in October as against 36,493 units in the same month last year, a growth of 26.1 per cent.
Exports were at 4,100 units as against 4,494 units in October last year, down 8.77 per cent.
SMIPL Executive Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Sajeev Rajasekharan said, "Buoyed by the impressive festive- season performance, we continue to hold a positive outlook in the coming months as well."
