SVC while taking cognizance of a complaint sought report from Principal Secretary Hospitality and Protocol Department, regardingmal-administration and other illegalities committed by the former Additional Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, with the active patronage of higher authorities who instead of initiating required legal and Departmental Action "downplayed loss" to the State Exchequer, he said.
The report furnished by the Department of Hospitality and Protocol, prima-facie revealed that the then Additional Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, by overstepping his powers and authority had "misappropriated" the Government money at large by "dishonestly" drawing an amount of Rs 6,24,262 as electrical charges for his residential accommodation, fuel drawn for his private vehicle to the tune of Rs 1,22,689 and other funds for his personal affairs, he said.
