External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today asked the Indian mission in Dubai to help a Pakistani woman, married to an Indian man, get a visa to travel to Mumbai for treatment of her son.
"I am asking our mission in Dubai to help your wife who is a Pakistani national with Indian visa for your son's treatment in Mumbai," she tweeted.
Yesterday, the woman's husband Yasin had requested Swaraj to intervene and help his wife get a visa.
Yasin had tweeted, "I am struggling to get medical attendant visa for my wife who is pakistani, to get treatment for my child in Mumbai."
In another tweet, Swaraj said she has sought details from the Indian mission in Uganda, following reports of death of an Indian man, allegedly in an accident.
The response came after one Sandhya had tweeted that one India man, Ashish Mishra, lost his life in an accident in Uganda and the post-mortem suggested that he died of "neurological shock".
"My condolences to the bereaved family. I am asking for a report from our mission in Uganda," Swaraj tweeted.
Sandhya in a series of tweets said, "Respected Madam My known Ashish Mishra, UP, worked with Fabrication systems Uganda, Kampala Ltd as welding inspector."
"He died as informed by his roommate in an accident on 30/10/2016. Upon requesting company sent the body, that reached today.
"The post mortem report cites neurological shock as cause of death which is caused due to injury to spinal cord.
