Besides, 45 new cases of H1N1 virus infection were also detected in the state today, taking the number of confirmed cases to 6,226, the release said.
"Three people died due to swine flu in Gujarat today, while 45 new cases were reported from the state," it said.
"One death each was reported in Ahmedabad, Jamnagar and Dwarka districts in Gujarat," the release said.
However, the Gujarat government has claimed that 5,505 swine flu patients have been cured so far, while 67 patients were discharged today.
