However, no one was injured in the incident.
According to the state Power Board sources, the operation of the power house is expected to resume by late night after rectifying the switch yard.
All the generators of the power house were switched off following the incident, resulting in drastic reduction in power transmission in the peak hours in the evening.
A group of engineers and other technical personnel immediately got into the working to repair the damaged system and the power supply was expected to be normalised by late night, KSEB sources said.
