Ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will come out with a strategy that will suit them better in all legal terms, a party spokesperson said here today.
He said the government is fine tuning its next legal, legislative and political moves.
After the SC verdict last Thursday, 42 MLAs of Congress have resigned from the Vidhan Sabha.
However, Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal told PTI that the resignations of Congress MLAs were "under consideration".
"We have officially not received any communication about the session being convened," he said.
Besides, Congress is not aware whether there is any agenda of the government behind summoning the session, he added.
Yesterday, Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh wanted an assurance from the government that the new legislation will be approved by the governor and not made a mockery.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has asked all political parties to get together on the SYL issue. However, Badal's deputy and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal has said that the Congress has run away from the issue.
"The meeting would be held at Haryana Niwas on November 17, 2016 at 12 noon," an official spokesperson said today.
