The Chief Minister expressed hope that Saina will win more tournaments in the future and bring laurels to the country and Telangana state, an official statement said.
"Saina, who has been displaying great sportive talent since the beginning of her career, has brought laurels to Telangana state," the statement quoted Rao as saying.
The Chief Minister also wished her to continue the current spirit and form and win many more titles.
Saina clinched her second Australian Open title after defeating China's Sun Yu in a thrilling three-game final of the Super Series badminton tournament today.
