Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said there are two policies in place for acquisition of land for projects, a release from his office said.
One is the Land Acquisition Act of 2013 and the second is the Government Order (GO) No.123 issued by the state government, Rao said.
"The farmers would be provided compensation as per the choice made by them between the two," Rao said.
The main opposition Congress, TDP and BJP have taken up the cause of those, whose lands are being acquired. Such farmers and the Opposition have been agitating on the issue.
