The sales totalled a 5.2 per cent increase over first quarter sales, the report released by Analysys International said.
Apple products also saw declining sales and a shrinking market share in China during the second quarter, Wang Jun, an analyst with Analysys International, said.
Second quarter saw sales of Apple products fall for the first time in Greater China, which includes the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, state-run news agency Xinhua said.
Tablet PC products from Samsung and China's domestic brands, including TSMC and Onda, gained market share due to their cost-effectiveness and strong online sales, Wang said.
