Taiwan donates for Uttarakhand relief work

Extending a helping hand to calamity-hit Uttarakhand, Taiwan today donated an amount of Rs 30 lakh (USD 50,000) to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
At a ceremony held at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre here, Taiwan's Representative to India Ambassador Chung Kwang Tien gave the cheque of USD 50,000 for the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for relief work in the hill state.
Members of Parliament Pradeep Tamta and Vijay Bahadur Singh were present on the occasion.
Hundreds of people lost there lives in floods and landslides in the hill state of Uttarakhand in June this year.
