IPL spot-fixing scandal case transferred to designated court

The IPL spot-fixing scandal case, which was being heard by Saket court here, has been transfered to Patiala House court, the Delhi police today said during the hearing of the bail plea of suspended Cricketer Ajit Chandila and seven others.
Additional Sessions Judge Renu Bhatnagar, who has fixed the bail applications of Chandila and others for today, could not hold the proceedings after the Delhi Police special cell told her that a special judge has been appointed to hear the case.
Special Public Prosecutor Rajiv Mohan sought adjournment of the matter citing that a circular has been issued and a special court designated at Patiala House district court to hear all the matters of the Delhi Police special cell.
He also said all the matters related to the special cell will now be heard by the designated judge at Patiala House court.
The court fixed the matter for tomorrow at Patiala House court.
