"Take something more, no harm," this was the remark by President Pranab Mukherjee to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the customary tea party at the Rashtrapati Bhavan after the civil investiture ceremony today where 50 eminent persons were conferred Padma awards.
At the tea party, Kejriwal took only a small piece of pastry when the President spotted him with the plate.
A smiling Mukherjee then asked the Delhi Chief Minister to eat something more from the nearby table which was full with samosas, sandwich, pakoras, kala jamun etc.
46-year-old Kejriwal, who has sugar problem, had recently undergone a 10-day naturopathy treatment in Bengaluru for his chronic cough.
Later, asked about the AAP dissident leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav's criticism of him, Kejriwal told reporters that he was more involved in the running of Delhi government rather than the party affairs.
"I have been working round the clock. I have nothing to do with what is happening in the party," he said.
Asked to comment on the proposed meeting of the dissident leaders in Punjab, Kejriwal said "Let the meeting take place. It is a democracy...," he said.
