Taliban attack a police checkpoint, killing 8 in the south

Afghan officials say that at least eight police officers were found dead after their checkpoint was attacked in southern Zabul province.
Mohmand Nasratyar, district administrative chief, said on today that all eight policemen were killed late last night inside their check point in the Arghandab district.
Nasratyar said that a delegation has been sent to investigate the incident and so far it remained unclear how the attack happened.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yusuf Ahmadi claimed responsibility.
