TASMAC employee robbed of Rs 10 lakh by gang in Tirupur dist

A salesman of state-run TASMAC liquor outlet was relieved of cash Rs 10 lakh by an unidentified gang in nearby Tirupur district, police said today.
Two men who came on a motorcyle waylaid Thamarai Selvan, while he was returning home late last night in Mangalam in that district and robbed him of Rs 10 lakh, they said.
The duo pushed him down from the vehicle and decamped with his bag containing the cash, police said.
Further investigations are on.
