"The launch of the Tata Prima in UAE and Oman, marks the introduction of a new range of next-generation commercial vehicles with a series of applications in both the countries," Tata Motors said in a statement.
The homegrown auto major launched two variants of the Prima range of trucks in the UAE and three variants of the heavy commercial vehicles in Oman, it added.
Commenting on the development, Tata Motors Executive Director, Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, Ravindra Pisharody said the launch of the Tata Prima brand in Oman and the UAE, is an important milestone in Tata Motors' continued expansion in the GCC region.
Tata Motors Ltd is India's largest automobile company, with consolidated revenues of Rs 2,32,834 crore (USD 38.9 billion) in 2013-14.
