Tata Sponge Iron Ltd on Wednesday announced that it has received an approval from the Registrar of Companies to change its name to 'Tata Steel Long Products Ltd'.
"The company has received approval from the Registrar of Companies, Cuttack, Orissa, for change in name of the company from 'Tata Sponge Iron Ltd' to 'Tata Steel Long Products Ltd' on August 20, 2019," it said in a filing to the BSE.
A fresh "certificate of incorporation pursuant to change of name" has been issued by the Office of the Registrar of Companies, Cuttack, Orissa, in this regard, it said.
Consequent to the change of its name, the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company stands amended, it added.
