Swift, 24, has been a huge fan of Garten, 66, for years and owns all of her cookbooks, reported Us magazine.
"A day of cooking in the Hamptons with my HERO. How bad can that be?" Swift wrote on Instagram, sharing a selfie of the pair cooking.
Garten said she is also fond of Swift's songs, and revealed she owns all of the singer's albums.
Garten captioned a photograph of herself with Swift. "Just another day at the office - OMG cooking with Taylor Swift! Love her!!" she wrote.
