Tata Capital Housing Finance (TCHFL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Capital, today said its total loan portfolio has touched Rs 10,000 crore mark.
"TCHFL's total loan portfolio has touched Rs 10,000 crore mark, placing it among the top six housing finance companies in the country," the firm said in a statement.
TCHFL has witnessed a year-on-year growth of over 40 per cent since 2010 and disbursed home loans amounting to Rs 4,563 crore last fiscal.
"With ambitious plans for the next three years, the company aims to grow even faster over the next five years," it said.
Commenting on the achievement, Tata Capital Chief Operating Officer (Retail Business and Housing Finance), Govind Sankaranarayanan, said, "Having crossed this milestone of Rs 10,000 crore, we are now poised to enable many more customers to achieve their dream of home ownership, especially those in the affordable and mid segments of the market."
Recognising affordable housing as a high growth area, the company will be giving special focus to this segment, TCHFL Managing Director R Vaithianathan said.
"Recognising the large potential for housing finance in a fast developing country like India, we will be focusing on growing our reach in the next few years," he said.
Meanwhile, the company is also developing innovative products like home loans which cater to the urban low-income customers in unorganised sectors, Vaithianathan added.
