The supporters with reportedly upset with Ramesh for "neglecting" their leader and extending "unilateral support" to make their political rival Adi Narayana Reddy as Minister in AP cabinet.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had on Sunday reorganised his Cabinet and dropped five ministers and inducted 11 others, including his son.
Reddy had organised a meeting of party workers (his followers) to inform them about the recent developments in TDP and induction of political rival Adi Narayana Reddy into the cabinet.
Soon after seeing the Rajya Sabha member Ramesh at the venue, Reddy loyalists hurled chairs at him and shouted slogans "MP go back".
MP Ramesh assured the Reddy loyalists that he too will be elevated to a cabinet rank post.
