Haryana Police today arrested a teacher for allegedly leaking the question paper of All India Pre-medical Test (AIPMT), held last year, from an exam centre where he was on duty.
Satish Kumar (31), a Physical Training Instructor, who was working at a private school in Rohtak was arrested from a hotel near Football Chowk in Ambala. He belongs to Bhagwatipur village in Rohtak district, police said.
The arrest was made after prolonged interrogation of paper-leak mastermind Roop Singh Dangi, who was arrested earlier this week, a police official said.
After arrest, Kumar was produced before a Duty Magistrate in Rohtak who sent him in three days police remand, he said, adding further investigation is underway and both Dangi and Kumar are being questioned.
The AIPMT exam, conducted in May last year, was cancelled after Rohtak police unearthed the paper-leak case and a fresh exam was conducted later on.
A Special Investigation Team was constituted and nearly 30 persons have been arrested in connection with the case. Dangi, who had been evading arrest for several months and was declared a proclaimed offender, was arrested from Jakhoda Road near the Bahadurgarh bypass on March 31.
