The only domestic one-day tournament that is played under floodlights is the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, but the technical committee that met here under Kumble's stewardship, also wants Vijay Hazare Trophy matches to be played under lights.
"We even want the zonal ODI matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be day-night affairs. If Mohali or Kotla in the North or Chepauk or Chinnaswamy down south is hosting the matches, we can always have matches under floodlights. We already have coloured clothing and white kookaburra balls being used for List A games," a member of the technical committee told PTI today.
The committee was also of the view that none of the existing rules in domestic cricket, especially the Ranji Trophy, need to be altered at the moment.
