The accused, T Avinash Reddy, was arrested by Cyber Crime Police of Cyberabad after the woman lodged a complaint against him.
The woman said she had hired Reddy for a Delhi-based training programme in December 2016.
However, he lacked required skills and on receiving negative feedback, Reddy was asked to discontinue the training. His travel and accommodation bills were reimbursed, according to the complainant.
Though he did not conduct the training properly, he allegedly demanded money from the woman, who told him to come to office and settle the issue, said the police, quoting the complaint.
Since January 25, the woman also started receiving e- mails with abusive images from the accused, who threatened to attack her and her husband, police said.
