Vikas was run over by a train last Tuesday while crossing the rail tracks with his earphones on, Sahibabad GRP in charge, Sub-Inspector Abhishek Sirohi said.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim did not notice the fast approaching train even though the driver honked several times, he said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and parents of the decesased, a native of Kannauj, have been informed.
