Teenage boy dies in lightning strike

A 15-year-old boy was killed after being struck by lightning in Gopalpur here today.
"Abhishek was bathing on the roof of his house this afternoon when a lightning struck him. He was taken to a doctor who declared him brought dead," Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh Yadav said.
Meanwhile, in Nandgaon, a dumper driver was killed after his vehicle came in contact with a live electric wire, police said today.
"The incident occurred last evening when in order to change the tyre of the vehicle, Manoj Urav, a resident of Jharkhand, lifted the vehicle with the help of jackand it came in contact with an overhead live wire," they said.
The body hasbeen sent to postmortem, police said.
