In her police complaint, the girl has claimed that she was on way to a nearby shop on Friday around 8:30 pm when the accused Akash (18) caught hold of her and molested her.
On hearing the girl scream, her parents rushed to help her while the youth escaped, a police official said.
On the basis of her complaint, a case under Section 354A (sexual harassment) of the IPC and relevant section of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered in Sector-55 police station yesterday, he said.
