Teenaged boy held for raping minor at knife-point

A 16-year-old boy was held today for allegedly raping a minor girl at knife-point in Vijay Nagar area here, police said.
The boy was taken into police custody after the 12-year- old girl's parents lodged a complaint against him at Vijay Nagar police station. The girl's family was tenant at the boy's residence.
According to police, at around 4:00 AM, the girl, who along with her family members was sleeping on the terrace, got up to go to the toilet. While she was going towards the lavatory, the landlord's son dragged her to the bathroom and raped her at knife-point.

"After raping, the boy threatened her of dire consequence if she tells her ordeal to anyone," a senior police officer said.
However, the girl told her family members about the incident following which they lodged a complaint at Vijay Nagar police station.
The boy has been taken into custody and sent to a juvenile home, police said.
