Jyoti, who sustained 90 per cent burn injuries, was admitted to S R N hospital in Allahabad and succumbed to her injuries on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, he said.
The teenage girl, Jyoti Vishwakarma was allegedly set on fire by Om Prakash Maurya, his wife and two others over land dispute in Shripur village in Jethwara area on September 25 evening, according to police.
The ASP said that all the accused have been sent to jail adding that the case would be converted into a murder case after the release of post-mortem report.
Police said that an FIR has been lodged against Om Prakash Maurya, his wife and two others and efforts were being made to arrest them.
