Allati Ramesh, a resident of Pallikonda in Nizamabad district had submitted an application seeking American visa at the office of the US Consulate here.
On scrutiny of documents during the personal interview with Ramesh yesterday, Consulate officials found that the supporting documents were allegedly fake and lodged a complaint with police.
Police investigations revealed that the certificate of work experience, identity card and salary slip furnished by Ramesh were fake.
The accused told the police that he managed to procure the fake papers through his friends, police said.
