Temperatures hover close to normal across Haryana, Punjab

After receiving widespread rains during the past few days, maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal across Haryana and Punjab.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, down one notch than normal, the MeT Department report said here.
Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 34.6 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani's maximum settled at 35.2 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul registered a high of 34 degrees Celsius, down three notches than normal while Karnal also recorded identical maximum at 34 degrees Celsius. Hisar's maximum settled at 37 degrees Celsius today, notch below normal limits.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana and Patiala recorded near similar maximum temperatures at 34.2 degrees Celsius and 34.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The MeT has forecast possibility of rains at isolated places in the two states during the two days.
