A 35-year-old tempo driver died on the spot after a collision between his vehicle and a tractor trolley on National Highway 1 near Chachoki village here, police said today.
The deceased was identified as Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Mauli village. He was going to Phagwara from Mauli when a tractor trolley coming from the opposite direction collided with the tempo, they said, adding that the tractor trolley driver fled the scene.
Kumar had bought the tempo on an installment-basis two months ago, they said.
