Temporary fish market inaugurated at violence hit Nadukuppam

: Days after a fish market was burnt down in the violence here following protests seeking the nod for jallikattu, Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar today inaugurated a temporary fish market at Nadukuppam here.
Chief Minister O Panneerselvam had on January 31 announced in the Assembly that a permanent, modern and hygienic fish market would be set up here at a cost of Rs 70 lakh.
He had said that a temporary one would be set up in a day or two.
On January 23, the fish market was among the places that bore the burnt of the violence in Chennai.
