Senior Superintendent of Police B B Singh today said people of a community started throwing brickbats and set three houses on fire after they came to know about the elopement incident.
Case has been registered against 47 persons for inciting violence, he said, adding, two persons have been arrested in this connection.
The 28-year-old married man allegedly eloped with a 26-year-old girl from Jhansi and kept her in his village, he said.
