Tercy Pinto to lead Goa in sub junior football championship

A 20-member squad led by Trecy Pinto will represent Goa in the Sub-Junior National Football Championship for girls to be held in Cuttack, Odisha, from January 17 to February 2.
Twenty three states will participate in the tournament, divided in seven groups.
Goa, which is placed in Group G, has formidable West Bengal, Chandigarh and Telangana. Goa will play its first preliminary qualifying round match on January 17 against Telangana.
The top team from each group along with runners-up of Group G will qualify for the quarter-finals.
They will be divided in two group and will play on league basis.

The first two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals to be held on January 31.

The final match is slated on February 2.
