Goa police have reviewed security following the intelligence alert that the state could be a target of the ten Jaish-e-Mohammad and LeT terrorists who have entered the country from Pakistan.
"We received inputs from the Central intelligence agencies. After that, several measures are in place to ensure that any such attempt (of terror attack) is foiled," Superintendent of Police (north) Umesh Gaonkar said.
Patrolling at public places such as malls, hospitals, educational institutes, railway stations, bus stands, etc., was intensified, he said.
There were intelligence inputs that ten LeT and JeM terrorists had entered India from Pakistan through Gujarat.
Alert was sounded in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chandigarh.
