"We will pass a strong resolution at the TESO conference," he told reporters here responding to queries on continued attacks despite India repeatedly taking up the issue with Sri Lanka.
In the latest incident, 23 fishermen from Rameswaram were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy yesterday while they were fishing near Katchatheevu, an islet ceded by India to the neighbouring country in 1974.
The DMK chief had recently revived the defunct TESO, which he had floated in the 80s.
To a question, he said his party had not dropped the Tamil Eelam (separate nationhood) concept and said "it will take due steps" when the time would come for the creation of Eelam.
Asked about the controversy surrounding the Congress-NCP standoff, with the latter charging the Congress with not treating allies properly, he said "that is their opinion. We have nothing to say as our opinion".
He also said all DMK ministers and MPs will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Pranab Mukherjee as President on July 25.
He parried question on DMK getting a berth in the much speculated cabinet expansion, saying, "I am not worried as much as you are."
To a question, he said the DMK was opposed to imparting training to Sri Lankan defence personnel by India.
