Thane minor raped in Ahmedabad; four booked

A minor girl from Thane was allegedly raped by 21-year-old youth in Ahmedabad couple of months ago, following which four persons have been charged with offences in this connection, police said today.
The victim, who belongs to Bhiwandi here, went to Ahmedabad in search of work and stayed in city's Srirang Nagar locality where she was allegedly raped by a 21-year-old youth, between July and October, assistant police inspector at Bhiwandi police station S R Patil said.
According to police, the victim in her complaint filed with a Ahmedabad police station, said that she had gone to search job and stayed at one Pratap Darbar's house where she was allegedly raped by a youth, identified by first name only as Hardik.

The victim, a resident of Kamathghar locality in Bhiwandi, also told Ahmedabad police that she was later forcibly married to the accused by threatening her of dire consequences that if she revealed anything.
Those who were involved in threatening her included the owner of house she stayed in Ahmedabad, Pratap Darbar, his wife Jyoti Darbar and owner of her rented house in Bhiwandi, Satish, police said.
According to the complaint, the Darbar couple and accused used to beat her frequently and she somehow managed to escape from there.

Patil said that the Ahmedabad police have transfered the case to Bhiwandi yesterday.

Bhiwandi police have registered a complaint against four persons, accused Hardik, Pratap Darbar, Jyoti Darbar and Satish under IPC sections section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 420 (cheating) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Accused Hardik has also been booked under IPC section 376 (rape) and further investigations are on, police said.
