The team of "The Accidental Prime Minister", including Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna, will start filming the project from March 31.
Based on the book of the same name, written by former prime minister Manmohan Singh's media adviser Sanjay Baru, the film feature Kher in the lead role.
"Exciting days ahead as Akshaye joins the crew. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' begins shooting on March 31 with a fantastic ensemble led by Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna," Hansal Mehta, who is working on the screenpaly of the film, wrote on Twitter.
Debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte is directing the film, produced by Bohra Brothers.
