'The Addams Family' to be revived in MGM animated film

MGM is planning to make a new animated film on 'The Addams Family', the famous cartoon characters originally created by Charles Addams.
The studio is in final negotiations with Berman Braun's Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun to resurrect the characters in a new animation film, reported Variety.
The Iconic "Addams" family first appeared as an unrelated group of 150 single panel cartoons. Half of them were published in The New Yorker between 1938 and Addams' death in 1988.
The Addams clan gained fame after it was adapted into a TV series in the 1960s.
The characters saw a movie adaptation, video games, books and recently a Broadway musical.
